The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood? Gulliver’s Travels? A Picture of Dorian Gray? The Scarlet Letter? Foundation, The Caves of Steel, or I, Robot by Asimov? (and please note, I, Robot is a collection of nine interconnected short stories, not that terrible fucking movie from 2004…)

All these stories are well known, and deserve to be on this list, IMO.

Fancy ramen is the best ramen.

So I decided I wanted ramen for dinner tonight.

Now, when I eat ramen, I almost never eat it regularly. For one, I like my ramen relatively dry - I cook the noodles, drain them, and then add in the seasoning with a bit of hot water from the tap. This makes the flavor much more intense as opposed to making it as a soup.

Secondly, I like to add seasonings to my ramen. It could be as simple as sprinkling a bit of pepper on it to “perk it up,” or as complex as what I did tonight.

Into tonight’s ramen, I added:

The chicken ramen seasoning packets
A dash of garlic
A good spoonful of ground ginger
A bit of tabasco
A sprinkling of sesame Seeds
A tad of sesame oil (not much at all - a little goes a long way)
Enough soy sauce to turn it brownish.

The ginger makes it a bit sweet, while the tabasco balances it out with a bit of spicy and vinegar (you don’t want much of it at all.) Sesame and soy sauce rounds out that “asian” flavor it’s got. The garlic is just because garlic is ALWAYS good.

A cranky 3-year-old was kicked off an Alaska Airlines flight out of Sea-Tac International on Saturday.

The airline said it was a matter of safety, but the boy’s dad said it was an overreaction.

Mark Yanchak of Everett said that when his son didn’t want to keep his seatbelt on, he enlisted the help of his wife. She had been seated with the couple’s other son and her mother in first class.

Good job, I say! Even if the little shit was kicked off because it was a safety issue, this just wears away the sense of entitlement the targets of those errant cumshots seem to have.

There are few things I hate more than having to listen to a kid cry for an entire fucking plane ride.
